Early 1900s all wood carousel horse from the North Tonawanda, NY workshop of Herschell Spillman. The jaunty jumper wears a star embellished bridle on a head raised to level on an erect neck furnished with a flowing mane. His simple saddle, secured with a breastband, is girthed over a blanket having an incised lozenge pattern. The figure is furnished with reins and stirrups and a natural horsehair tail. Showing some seams and chipped paint. Display stand with brass included. 48 long by 30 high.
