Early 1900s wooden carousel figure from the Artistic Caroussell Works in Brooklyn, NY. The second row stander features an arched neck with cascading mane carrying a glass eyed head tucked behind the vertical. The bridle is appointed with a signature (restored) rose. The high cantle saddle is girthed over a bordered blanket and a breastband with plastron encircles the chest. A fringed scarf is draped from the breastband and a complementary motif is found on the hip. Restored, natural horsehair tail, 50 inches long x 54 inches high. Stand included.
