Circa 1915 wooden carousel figure from the Gustav Dentzel carousel factory in Germantown, Philadelphia, PA. The jaunty “Top Knot” Daniel Muller designed jumper with refined features carries its glass-eyed head with signature top knot on an erect neck with cascading mane in high relief. The saddle is girthed over a fancifully shaped blanket engaged at the chest with a double breast band while the hindquarters sport interlaced breeching. 56 inches long x 44 high. Excellent condition, original paint. Comes with display stand.
