Circa 1924 from the Philadelphia Toboggan Company’s carousel # 71 first operated at Jefferson Beach, Detroit, MI and after a well traveled career parted out at auction after its final destination at Lesourdsville Lake, Middleton, OH. The wooden jumper carries its glass eyed head tucked behind the vertical on an arched neck crested with a flowing mane. Art Deco style trappings include a saddle with flap and skirts engaged by a breastband and breeching and sporting a blanket comprised of four triangular lappets. Excellent condition. Display stand and brass included. 57 long x 48 high.
