1019-6 - Dentzel - $5,900 - $5,800
Turn of the century outside row jumper from the Gustav Dentzel carousel works in Philadelphia. Originally created as a stander and later reconfigured as a jumper when implementation of the new overhead jumping mechanism offered a more exciting ride. The restored horse presents an affable expression in a refined head carried on an upright neck with a layered mane. The "English" style saddle features a detailed double eagle cantle; simple shoulder harness and breeching encompass the body while four decorative straps terminating in triple points add another layer of interest. Glass eyes and natural horsehair tail. 61 inches long.
