938-9 - Parker - $2900
Circa 1910 outside row horse from a portable or traveler machine
manufactured by the Charles Walker Parker factory in Abilene, Kansas.
The horse is in the jumping position and features an open mouthed laughing
head in an elevated position, a pleasant expression, a deep double layer
peytral and a saddle cantle adorned with swirling leaves. The figure has
glass eyes and presents in as found solid unrestored condition
without missing parts, showing layers of distressed old paint with profuse
painted decorations on the trappings - a disciple of the "shabby
chic" look. 55 long x 46 high.
