890-1 - Daniel Muller - $10,500
A circa 1912 prancer exhibiting the elegance and refinement of a Daniel
Muller carving. The body of the dainty horse with the sensitive face and
cascading deeply carved mane has been restored with walnut stain to reveal
the exceptional condition and warmth of the natural wood. Simple trappings
with incised borders painted in a subdued complementary palette of browns,
golds and greens include an "English" saddle with underblanket
and a bifurcated breastband. Glass eyes, natural horsehair tail, stirrup
hangers, rein rings, stand with antique brass. 51 long x 53 high x 37
chest to rump.
