889-4 - Stein & Goldstein -
$10,500
Circa 1912 stander demonstrates the proudly arrogant demeanor typical
of Stein & Goldstein horses, stepping high and fighting the bit. An
older restoration, the white horse accented in soft grey is illustrative
of classic S&G trappings a plastron on the breast anchored by
a deeply lappeted and fringed peytrala theme repeated on the breeching. The
saddle rests on a striped and fringed blanket and a fishscale skirt. A
jeweled and fringed headstall completes the trappings. The horse has glass
eyes, a natural horsehair tail and comes on the stand as shown. 57 long
x 55 high (62 on stand), 44 chest to rump.
