Dainty whitetail deer from the E. Joy Morris Carousel Company, an early
manufacturer whose stock was acquired by the newly formed Philadelphia Toboggan
Company. The trademark delicacy of the Morris company is evident in this
elegant standing deer with alertly raised head inset with glass eyes and
bearing carved trappings including a tasseled harness, a carved flower saddle
pack behind the cantle, very detailed fur and natural deer antlers. The
professional restoration includes a wooden display stand and brass pole.
