A rare armored lead horse from the circa 1913 Newton Lake Park carousel in Carbondale, PA. The rearing tournament steed presents in stripped and sound condition displaying magnificent carving detail on the fish scaled jeweled full body armor. Included are an heraldic shield on the flank, ripping horn on the chamfron and a carved crest emerging from the crinet. An outstanding example of carousel art. 56 long x 62 high.
