$9,000 Very rare, circa 1900 donkey believed to be from the Looff carousel at Caroga Lake, New York. The lively grey donkey in a kicking stance with scrollback saddle and trademark Looff jeweled rosettes on breastband and headstall. Recent restoration in a Mexican motif in earthy desert tones and sage green. See "Carrousel Art" number 21 for a similar figure. 52 long x 52 high, 36 chest to rump. . |
