| 1557-5 - E. J. Morris - SOLD c.1904 outside row stander. Parted from the carousel at Lake Quassy in Connecticut. Carved eagle behind saddle. See "Painted Ponies", Marianne Steven for reference. Size as displayed 65.5" long x 61" high. Note: in 1904 the horse was originally a stander. Converted circa 1920-1930 to a jumper, later professionally restored back to a stander. |
