An early style from the Charles Looff factory (stamped Looff, Riverside, RI), this stander with a cute "pony" face and pompadour bears a bird back saddle over a jewel encrusted saddle blanket. Signature Looff beaded and leafed rosettes enclosing clear starburst jewels are set on the breastband, breeching, chest and loin straps. Older restoration with minor repairs to forelegs. 53 high, 42 chest-to-rump.
